RRI performed a roof assessment and infrared scan of the Lindley Academy Charter School (LACS) to identify the existing roof conditions and assist LACS with determining the proper approach for improving its roofs. The school had been dealing with ongoing water infiltration issues, and needed to determine whether a roof repair or replacement was necessary. RRI visually reviewed the existing roof conditions, and utilized drone technology to perform the infrared scan due to the various roof levels and sections. RRI provided a written report of our findings to LACS, and it was determined that a roof replacement was necessary. RRI was then tasked with developing a roof replacement design, which included the project specifications and construction drawings. RRI selected a new modified built-up roof system over new insulation and a cover board. Miscellaneous masonry work was required, including the design of through-wall counterflashing in various locations to prevent water infiltration into the new roof system. RRI assisted with the bid process and pre-construction activities, including RFI review/response and submittal review/approval. RRI also visited the project several times during construction to monitor progress, including a final inspection.
